The Union Home Ministry has sought a report from the state government in the murder and rape case of a 35-year-old woman by militants from the Garo National Liberation Army in remote South Garo Hills in Meghalaya. They terrorist group allegedly entered her house, locked up her husband and five children and then tried to rape her. When she resisted they shot her at point blank range - firing six rounds.
