New Delhi: Asking community members to proscribe the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a prominent Muslim cleric issued a fatwa against the former and other terrorist organizations.
General Secretary of All India Sunni Jam-e-yyathul Ulema, Shaikh Abu Bakr Ahmad issued a religious diktat where he articulated that any kind of favor towards terrorist organizations like these is said adversative to the Islamic Shariah.
The Sunni-Sufi Islamic scholar proclaimed that such extremist organizations are not only anti-Islamic but a grave threat to humanity too. He said that such groups are hurting Islam under false garb of Islamists.
He also opined that the cruel activities carried out by ISIS in Iraq and Syria is not at all helpful to Muslims but only defamatory for Islam.
He said, “I request Muslims to condemn their inhumane activities and pray for the people who suffer from their ruthless activities.”
