Kashmir is not border dispute between Pakistan, India: Mirwaiz - Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, August 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, (APHC), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has said that Jammu and Kashmir is not a border dispute between Pakistan and India but an issue pertaining to the future of millions of Kashmiris. The APHC Chairman addressing a big public gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today, said that the people of Kashmir had kept the Kashmir dispute alive at the international level with their unparalleled sacrifices and their inclusion in the dialogue process was imperative for durable settlement of Kashmir dispute.

Strongly rejecting the statement of Indian foreign ministry that Kashmir was a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan, the APHC Chairman stated that the history was testimony to the fact that bilateral talks between the two countries had miserably failed to bear any results. He said that Kashmir dispute should be resolved either through by implementing U.N resolutions or through meaningful talks involving all the three stakeholders-India Pakistan and people of Kashmir.

Mirwaiz stated that lakhs of Kashmiris have laid their life and property for the resolution of Kashmir issue, adding that struggle continued till date and sacrifices given for the cause could neither be ignored nor forgotten.

Stressing that a dubious process had been started to divide Kashmiris on regional and communal lines with the incoming sham elections, Mirwaiz said that the conscious people of Kashmir were aware about the evil designs, being formulated against them would never allow such designs to succeed.

Paying rich tributes to the social, political and religious leader of Kashmir Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq on his 25th martyrdom anniversary according to Islamic calendar, the APHC Chairman stated that following his teachings, Kashmiris would succeed in reaching their desired goal of freedom.
