New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee's daughter Sharmistha said that her father will not do what former union minister Natwar Singh did and reveal what transpired during his tenure in the Congress and the government.
She said, "My father has a diary for over 40 years. It has lots of sensitive information. The diary is with me but he keeps scratching out the sensitive information. He says there are some private conversations which should not be known."
She added, "I don't think one should breach trust."
Singh's autobiography 'One Life is Not Enough: An Autobiography' has generated a lot of controversies as it has revealed very sensitive information and hit out at the UPA government and the Gandhi family.
Sharmistha, who has just joined politics says, "I have been thinking so I decided to join Congress and contest elections. My father told me that politics is a life-long thing."
On the accusations of dynasty politics and the Congress often been targeted for it, she refused to accept it. She said, "I don't accept this dynasty thing. If a doctor's son can become doctor, then why not me? People can reject me but I should be allowed to contest."
