Pakistan's Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, has called for a meet of Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan.
After Pakistan Army violated ceasefire again on Saturday evening when it fired on the three Indian Army posts in Shahpur area in Poonch district, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley had said, "Our Army & BSF are effectively responding to each violation.. country has full faith." Now Pakistan has said today that the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan should meet to address the ongoing border tension and firing incidents, local media reported.
Pakistan's Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz expressed concerns over what he called "unprovoked" firing by Border Security Force (BSF).
He said it was impacting the bilateral ties and peace in the region. Aziz rejected India's allegations about Pakistan sending militants via tunnel operating from the Pakistani side. He said if India had any evidence, it should share that with Pakistan, as indulging in blame games wouldn’t help. Aziz recalled that the last meeting of DGMOs between the two countries helped in normalizing the situation along the LoC and the working boundary and would be helpful again.
