The Union Minister of Finance Arun Jaitley has been admitted again to the hospital for a check-up after his surgery.
Jaitley had undergone an elective surgery to control the problem of diabetes early in this month and was re-admitted to the Saket Max hospital here in Delhi last evening. “He will be discharged on Tuesday and is admitted here for a proper check-up”, the doctor said.
The Union minister is fine by health and is just under observation of his doctor. Due to his longer stay at the hospital, all his appointments had to be cancelled. He had to arrive at the launch of the updated version of CBDT website and it was later on cancelled.
His doctor Pradeep Chowbey told,”He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening. The parameters of his kidney functioning had to be assessed and it was a fixed routine check-up”.The doctor is the Executive Vice-Chairman of Max Healthcare and director of Max Institute of Surgery.
The sources also added that the 61 year old Minister was also suffering from stomach infection. The veteran BJP leader had undergone an elective laproscopic procedure for managing his diabetes and he was doing well after the surgery. He was discharged from the hospital on 10 September and he was in good condition.
Reportedly, he was not able to attend the meeting of finance ministers from the group of 20 nations in Australia when he was admitted to the hospital for gastric bypass surgery to control his weight due to his diabetic condition.
Many cabinet decisions await his arrival such as the ONGC and Coal India majority share holding matters.
