Amid questions about videos showing them fighting off their alleged harassers, Haryana government Thursday put on hold the award and felicitation ceremony on Republic Day for the Rohtak sisters, sources in the chief minister's office said.

After a video showing the sisters - Aarti and Pooja of Sonepat district's Thanakhurd village - beating the three men on a Haryana Roadways bus on November 28 went viral on Sunday, the Haryana government announced a reward of Rs. 31,000 each on Monday.
Amit Arya, adviser to chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, told HT the government has decided to wait till the police completes its report.
The state government has also asked the bus driver Balwan Singh and conductor Labh Singh at the Sonepat bus depot to resume work till the police probe is over.
He said further action would be taken after the probe is complete.
Rohtak deputy superintendent of police Yashpal Khattana is investigating the case in which the three boys of Asan village were arrested by police on November 30 amid media and public outcry over the incident.
Contradicting versions
Two fresh witnesses submitted their affidavits to the police on Wednesday in support of the men — Kuldeep, Deepak and Mohit — accused of sexually harassing the sisters aboard the bus.
Five others, some of them claiming to be the passengers on the bus in which the incident occurred, also shared their affidavits with
reporters and stressed the men have been wrongfully accused.
Another video showing the sisters beating up a boy in the Huda City Park surfaced on Tuesday.
Two witnesses have given statements in connection with the month-old video saying they were present in the park when the incident happened.
They said the girls abused and tore off a boy's clothes after he asked them why they were wasting their time in the park instead of attending college.
Another girl accompanying them recorded the incident on camera, they told the police.
