CAT results out, but students can't log on to site - Times of India

MUMBAI: The Common Admission Test (CAT) results announced on Saturday brought more worry than cheer as several could not log on to the website.

Several candidates could not check results even three hours after they were announced. "I got to know that the results were announced at 6pm and I have been trying to log on to the website for over two hours. Same is the case with my friends," said A Siddhant, a candidate.

Coaching classes too kept waiting. "Most of our students have not been able to check results. Judging by the scores of those who managed to see results, we understand that students who secured around 130 marks have got a 90 percentile and those with a score of 150 have got 95 percentile," said Hemang Panchmatia, a coaching class owner.

Those who had a chance to see their results could do so only once. "I started trying to log on at 5.30pm but finally did so at 6.30pm. The site hasn't opened since," said Shreyans Shah.

Patrick Dsouza, a CAT trainer from Mumbai, who appears for the exam every year said, "I logged on at 5pm and was able see my result, but site has been down since then," said Dsouza, who scored a 99.98 percentile.

CAT convenor Rohit Kapoor claimed there was no technical error in the website and that students need to just refresh the page. A total of 16 students of the 1.68 lakh who took the exam have scored a 100 percentile.
