MIRPUR (AJK)
Rejecting the process of India’s elections drama and its results in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir National Front has said that the Kashmiris are fighting for their right to self-determination and urged New Delhi to grant the right to the people at the earliest.
JKNF’s Central Senior Vice Chairman Altaf Hussain Wani reiterated that their struggle shall continue unless the Kashmiri people are given their just right to self-determine.
Talking to reporters, Wani praised those remained aloof of the election drama. “India and its collaborators has jumped with lots of resources in the election drama hence they tried to institutionalise corruption,” he added.
Altaf Wani continued, “Those who somehow participated in the Indian election drama too want an end to the Indian slavery but for the time being pro-India politicians took an undue advantage of them.”
“This in fact has once again unfolded the evil designs of the pro-India politicians and the time is not far when all their claims and promises will prove false,” he said.
Wani encouraged those party workers and common youth who were put behind bars in the garb of election drama. “Seeking freedom has been the job of the people who do not consider the results of struggle and resistance,” he said.
He said that the so-called elections and any such kind of activities are always dramas in the disputed regions like J&K but these never bore fruit. Wani said said, “J&K elections are and will remain merely an operation undertaken by the men in uniform unless people of Kashmir are granted a free chance to decide their political future.” He further said that resolution of Kashmir dispute is inevitable for long lasting stability in the south Asian region.
Expressing shock and distress on the present situation of Pakistan, the JKNF leader termed the Peshawar tragedy as a bolt on the face of humanity. “Who else then Kashmiris know the pain of slaughtering of innocent students,” he said. “Kashmiris are being massacred since 1947 and Pakistan has always been backing us in our (Kashmiris) just and principled struggle for the right to self determination.”
The APHC leader said that Pakistani people have to stand and exhibit steadfastness against those who are hell bent to damage their country. “Muslim world should know that Pakistan acts as their fort and to break this fort conspiracies are being hatched on very high levels,” he said. He appealed to the Kashmiri Muslims in particular to pray for the stability of Pakistan. He assured the Pakistani political leadership, its people and army that Kashmiri nation is with them in all the present and future testing time.
