Footage released by the French Interior Ministry on Sunday appeared to show the rescue of several hostages who had been held by a gunman at a kosher supermarket in an eastern Paris suburb .

Amedy Coulibaly, who had earlier killed a French policewoman , was shot to death when police raided the kosher supermarket on Friday. Coulibaly's widow Hayat Boumeddiene, who has been named as an accomplice, is still being sought and was last traced near the Turkey -Syrian border.

Separate footage released by the Interior Ministry showed the moment that special forces officers from France's National Gendarmerie Intervention Group, or GIGN, stormed a printing plant in the town of Dammartin-en-Goele, near Paris' near Charles de Gaulle airport, on Friday .

Said and Cherif Kouachi, the brothers who stormed the offices of French newspaper Charlie Hebdo and killed 12 people, were holed up at the printing plant with a lone hostage. All three gunmen - the Kouachi brothers and Coulibaly - were killed in simultaneous raids on the printing plant and the kosher supermarket on Friday.
