New Delhi: Hours after US President Barack Obama left for his three-day visit to India to witness Republic Day celebrations here, Intelligence Bureau on Saturday night issued an alert to the Delhi Police of possible terror attack.
The agency warned of a Mumbai-style terror attack during Obama's visit and also alerted that the terrorists have already entered the Indian territory through Jammu and Kashmir border and are at the moment present in the national capital, where the US President is due to land on Sunday.
The IB, in its alert to the Delhi Police, said that the terrorists are likely planning a terror strike using paragliders.
The police have also been asked to checked with those buying chemicals which could be used to make explosives.
Unprecedented security arrangements are in place for Obama's visit with around 15000 CCTV cameras being installed and a seven-layer security ring turning the national capital into an impregnable fortress.
The US President has been invited by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be the chief guest for Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
