Gurdaspur: In a shocking incident from Punjab, a female teacher in a government school in Gurdaspur has been booked for strip-searching seven girls. The teacher reportedly strip-searched the students after she suspected them of stealing Rs 500 from her wallet.
When the teacher did not find the money on the girls, she reportedly ordered them to pay a fine of Rs 50 each.
The students alerted their parents who then filed a complaint with the police.

A student said , "Our teacher had lost some money and she blamed us for stealing it. She took us to the washroom and stripped us. She even checked our bags and made us open our shoes but she did not find any money."
No arrests have been made so far in the case.
AS Pawar, Superintendent of Police, Batala, said: "The parents of the girls came to us with an application and we have registered an FIR in the case. These girls are students of class VII. A teacher in their school, identified as Harjeet Kaur lost some money and she stripped the girls as she doubted that the girls had stolen the money."
