Uddhav Thackeray, who has always been fond of wildlife photography, said, “My last exhibition on the forts of Maharashtra happened in 2004, though I had not organised it. Later, two coffee table books based on my photographs got published, and I thought, I have enough material which I can share with the people.” This time, however, there will be no specific theme for the exhibition.
Thackeray said the exhibition will showcase his experiments with infrared photography and will also have images of polar bears clicked in 2007 and 2008 and portraits of various prominent personalities from the world of films, industry, art, music and politics.
Thackeray explained that unlike normal photography where infrared lights are prevented from falling on the camera sensor or film, a reverse process is followed in infrared photography, where normal light is prevented from falling on the film or sensor.
“There will be a total of 70 photographs on display and except for portrait photographs, all other photographs will be available for sale,” he added.
