He interacted with people and assured them that his party will help them in getting back to normal life.
He also met the farmers who suffered extensive damages to their crops due to the cyclone in Jeypore of Koraput district.
Gandhi said the farmers complained that they have not been properly compensated by the government. "Our party will raise this (issue) in parliament," he told IANS.
The Congress vice president is scheduled to interact with cyclone affected people in Burujua and Pottangi in Koraput.
He will also undertake an aerial survey of Malkangiri district which is about 620 km from Bhubaneswar.
Gandhi's Odisha visit comes a day after he visited the cyclone affected areas of Andhra Pradesh.
