PRE-MATCH: A series which has gone in India's favour right from the beginning does not promise much of a contest in the final ODI at Ranchi on Sunday, apart from a few personal milestones and changes in the top half of the ICC ODI rankings.
India have already overtaken No. 1 ODI rank from Australia with 116 rating points, one ahead of the Aussies down to second now after India took a 4-0 lead over Sri Lanka in the ongoing series. So a win in the final match will further strengthen India's hold at the top.
Virat Kohli has had a phenomenal run in the one-dayers as a captain. A series whitewash against Sri Lanka would make him the only Indian captain to win with a margin of 5-0 second time around, the first of which came away in Zimbabwe.
