Mumbai: Indian-origin US Republican leader Nikki Haley is all praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his approach to the country's economy.
In an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN, the South Carolina Governor said that she had adopted a similar project like PM's 'Make in India' campaign in her state.
"I had worked with PM Modi when he had come to New York and I was very impressed with his pro-business attitude back then and the reason was that we have done that in South Carolina. We reduced regulations and taxes, we focused on businesses, we got universities and training centres flexible for working towards businesses. Instead, the other way round, we see that in the South Carolina program. So to now say that PM Modi is doing that in India, to talk to him was one thing, to come here and feel it is very different," she said.
