New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Friday announced the formation of Delhi Dialogue Commission under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Informing of the move, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia told ANI, "The Delhi Dialogue Commission will be headed by the Delhi CM. It will work to implement plans and fulfill the promises that we made."
"Ashish Khetan will be the Vice Chairman of Delhi Dialogue Commission," added Sisodia.
The Commission will be responsible for effective implementation of the 70-point plan manifesto of AAP government.
The Commission will be a legally notified body, which will make sure the manifesto promises are rightly yielded.
Kejriwal and his cabinet ministers were sworn-in on February 14 at Ramlila Maidan. Kejriwal took the oath of office from Lt Governor Najeeb Jung -- followed by six ministers -- and then spoke in Hindi. Besides Sisodia, the deputy chief minister, the other ministers are Satyendra Jain, Sandeep Kumar, Gopal Rai, Asim Ahmed Khan and Jitendra Singh Tomar.
The AAP registered a historic win in the Delhi Assembly Elections by winning 67 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly. While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed to grab just three seats, the Congress failed to open its account.
