Frequent interruptions, applause and jeers, which appear to have been edited out, give credence to the Bhushan-Yadav's version that Kejriwal's speech was meant to provoke the crowd. It was after the speech that Bhushan and Yadav were voted out of the party's national executive. The Delhi CM ended the emotive speech asking the members to choose between him and the rebels announcing his resignation from all positions.

Attacking the trio, Kejriwal said, "When the entire Delhi stood behind us, some friends cheated us. I am saying this with a heavy heart that some friends backstabbed us." Listing out the charges that have been laid out by his camp earlier, he added, "Conspiracies were hatched to ensure our defeat in Delhi polls. AVAM was formed and supported. It then came in the media that AVAM members were former BJP members and being funded by them."
He targeted Prashant Bhushan for telling people that the party should lose to ensure that Kejriwal learnt a lesson and accused Yadav of planting negative stories in the media. "Senior editors of two big news channels told that Yogendra Yadav was planting stories against me," he said, adding that if Yadav was so keen on implementing RTI, then he should do it in Haryana. "If you implement it there, I will do so in the entire country," he said.

Taking on Shanti Bhushan, the Delhi CM referred to his pre-poll statement that Kejriwal would have been his third choice for CM after BJP's Kiran Bedi and Congress's Ajay Maken. "I want to ask what you are doing in this party then?" he asked.
Even as he lashed out at his colleagues, Kejriwal chose to make lists of volunteers and booth agents public and, more significantly, conduct an inquiry into the sting where he was reportedly "horse-trading" to form government in Delhi. "I am ready for a probe... but do you want to give a handle to Congress and BJP who will make an issue about it?" he asked his audience who responded with loud denials. He also said that making lists public would make their booth agents susceptible to pressure and inducement from rival parties.

Speaking about the negotiations that had broken down after 10 days, Kejriwal said they were only attempts to weaken the party and malign his image under the sham of principles. "They (Yadav and Bhushan) first mentioned five demands and if they were met they would quit all party posts. Normally people say either fix the party or we will quit... It was all a sham. They were showing the world that it was a fight of principles," he added.
Kejriwal said the mudslinging that continued for over a month benefitted neither the groups nor the party, but the opposition. "We all got maligned. Who benefitted from this? Modi, BJP, Congress and Ambani benefitted from this," he said.

He also regretted that his "own people" doubted his integrity. Kejriwal sealed the deal by asking the national council to choose between "him and them" as he tendered his resignation from the post of national convenor, his PAC membership, national executive and national council. He said he was not in the party to fight with Yadav or Bhushan. "My fight is with corruption and communal forces. I concede defeat. I am here to put an end to this war. Since the last one year, every NE and PAC has seen fights and arguments. You have to decide today whom to choose," he said.
