Patna: At least 32 people were killed and over 80 injured after storms hit three Bihar districts of Purnia, Bhagalpur and Madhepura on Tuesday night.
"32 people dead, over 80 injured in late night storm in three Bihar districts," the Principal Secretary to Disaster Management department said, as per PTI.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said,"I will personally take stock of the situation. I have instructed collector to make a list and mention the extent of crop damage."
At least 32 people were killed and over 80 injured after storms hit three Bihar districts of Purnia, Bhagalpur and Madhepura on Tuesday night.
"We are trying to estimate the damage. Right now the emphasis is to provide disaster relief to the affected population, as well as, restore communications," he added.
The storm also affected adjoining districts like Araria, Supaul, Katihar, Saharsa and Madhepura but to a lesser extent.
