"I didn't personally wave any flags (Pak flag), people did, but I don't find anything wrong in it," Masarat Alam said.
The separatist leader, who was freed from detention by Mufti Sayeed government last month, claimed there was nothing new in Pak flags being waived by people.
"It has been happening since 1947," he said.

Masrat Alam was part of a procession that gathered in uptown Hyderpora locality of Srinagar city to welcome hardline senior separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani who returned to the Valley on Wednesday after remaining in New Delhi during winter for health reasons.
Masrat Alam was on Wednesday booked for unlawful activities.
An FIR was lodged against him for "provocative activities" in Hyderpora area.
FIR No 92 /2015 was registered under sections 13 Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 120-B, 147,341,336,427 RPC.
Meanwhile, Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, when asked about action against the separatists, said that law will take its own course.
