Sensex jumps over 150 points; top 20 intraday trading ideas - Economic Times

NEW DELHI: Sensex jumped over 150 points at around 12:30 pm and was hovering around crucial level of 29,000 in intraday trade, but soon pared some gains.

Sensex was at 28,971; up 91 points. Nifty was at 8,811; up 31 points.

The 30-share index was at 29,021.30, up 141.92 points or 0.48 per cent. It touched a high of 29041.62 and a low of 28,843.94 in trade today. The Nifty was at 8,822.80 down 42.45 points.

Markets @ 11.30

The 30-share index was at 28881.40, up 2 points or 0.01 per cent. It touched a high of 29,005.03 and a low of 28,843.94 in trade today.

The Nifty was at 8779 down 2 points or 0.02 per cent. It touched a high of 8803.70 and a low of 8762.10 in trade today.

Markets @ 10.20

The 30-share index was at 28887.40, up 8 points or 0.03 per cent. It touched a high of 29,005.03 and a low of 28,843.94 in trade today.

The Nifty was at 8779 down 2 points or 0.02 per cent. It touched a high of 8803.70 and a low of 8762.10 in trade today.

Markets @ 9.20

The 30-share index was at 28869.40, down 10 points or 0.03 per cent. It touched a high of 29,005.03 and a low of 28,863.01 in trade today.

The Nifty was at 8773 down 7 points or 0.08 per cent. It touched a high of 8803.70 and a low of 8767.80 in trade today.

The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.36 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index edged higher by 0.77 per cent.

BHEL (up 1.1 per cent), L&T (up 1.05 per cent), State Bank of India (up 0.82 per cent), HDFC (up 0.5 per cent) and Hindalco (up 0.47 per cent) were among the major Sensex gainers.

GAIL India (down 2 per cent), Dr Reddy's Laboratories (down 1.2 per cent), M&M (down 0.76 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.58 per cent) and Coal India (down 0.44 per cent) were the major index losers.
