One killed in BJD-Congress clash in Orissa - Indian Express

ONE person was killed and four people were injured in a poll-related clash that broke out Friday night in coastal Kendrapara district.

Kendrapara SP Rabi Narayan Behera said a clash broke out between supporters of BJD and Congress in Aul assembly constituency. A middle-aged BJD supporter succumbed to his injuries while four activists of the party were injured.

The cause of the clash is yet to be known. Three of the injured have been shifted to Cuttack for better treatment.

Kendrapara has been tense after BJP supporters Friday assaulted Marshaghai BDO Sushanta Pati over allegations that he tampered with EVMs.
