Amarinder, who attended seven programmes on Friday and addressed public rallies like any other election campaigning day, told TOI, "He (Modi) can say whatever he wants, it is not going to change the equations, people of Amritsar have made up their mind." He sarcastically said Akalis had selected an odd time for Modi's Amritsar rally. "He will be coming around 7pm, by the time most of the rural people go to bed and Akalis will manage to get city crowd."
Comparing Congress's PM rallies, he said, "We used to do prime minister's rallies around 11am." He also said Modi' didn't have much to say. "He will speak about price rise and other such issues and will disappear."
Amarinder said, "I have fought 13 elections, you don't fight elections by coming in and saying that you are going to win 100%. You fight for the sake of fight, sometimes you win sometimes you lose, once you are in political fight you got to fight and with my experience I can say whatever Modi may say, it wouldn't matter in Amritsar".
