Narendra Modi, who decided to represent Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi Lok Sabha seat, said he was looking forward to the opportunity of serving "Ganga Maa" and work for the holy city's development.
"Resigned from Vadodara LS seat. Due to people's affection got elected by a historic margin. Will always remain grateful to people of Vadodara," he tweeted.
He had contested the Lok Sabha polls from Vadodara in Gujarat as well as Varanasi and got elected from both.
