AP Bar Council Team Meets Law Minister - The New Indian Express

HYDERABAD: A delegation of the Bar Council of AP met Union law minister DV Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday with a demand for establishment of a separate HC for AP and a separate Bar Council for Telangana.

AP Bar Council chairman A Narasimha Reddy and member of Bar Council of India and BJP national executive member N Ramchander Rao met Gowda and submitted the representation. The representation said that writ petitions were filed challenging the day-to-day activities of the Bar Council of AP. The HC division bench gave a verdict that there cannot be a TS Bar Council until a separate HC for AP is established. The Bar Council members pointed out that the advocates of Telangana gave a call for boycotting courts for three days demanding establishment of separate HC for AP.
