AAP rift deepens amid warnings about alleged conspiracy - Delhi Daily News

The internal rift in Aam Aadmi Party has widened with a National Council member from Punjab asking Arvind Kejriwal to get an inquiry conducted into a parallel meeting called by a section of the party prior to the party's important meet on March 28.

An NC member from Amritsar, Ashok Talwar, said in a letter to Arvind Kejriwal that the meeting has been called on the "pretext" of having talks on Swaraj and internal democracy and said that some "deep conspiracy for vested interests" was on to weaken the party.

Talwar said he received frequent "calls as well as messages" from different numbers all inviting him to be a part of a "discussion" on 27th of March.

According to reports AAP leader Shanti Bhushan was also going to hold a meeting with the dissidents before party's National Council meet. However, Shanti Bhushan denied it afterwards.

Talwar said in the letter, "They have been calling repeatedly to confirm the presence on 27 so that the arrangements for stay, food etc can be made in advance as already 124+ members have confirmed their participation in the meeting where deliberations would be held to 'save Swaraj' and internal democracy in the party."

Talwar has asked Arvind Kejriwal to be "vigilant" and get an inquiry conducted and to stop the "conspirators" from carrying out anti-party activities.
