New Delhi: The elite classes should not escape water scarcity in Delhi, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal told the state assembly on Wednesday.
“Request Delhi Jal Board (DJB) that if there is a shortage of water, it should not just be faced by the people of Delhi, but the VIPs of Delhi as well. In case of shortage, reduce the water supply in my house and the houses of central and Delhi state ministers as well,” Kejriwal said.
He said that as soon as the exit polls predicted an Aam Aadmi Party win in Delhi, Haryana reduced water supply to Delhi.
Kejriwal also said that his government was proud to be a government of the poor.
