CHANDIGARH: In a faux pas, photographs of American soldiers were put up in hoardings erected by the city's civic authority to pay tributes to Indian martyrs.
The hoarding were put up by Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (MC) at some places in the city informing the public about the commemoration event, which was held on Monday to mark the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
The hoardings displayed photographs of armed army personnel with the US flag on their uniforms.Deputy Mayor Gurbax Rawat said the matter had not come to her notice.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Monday said that his force, working on the Sunanda Pushkar death case, has retrieved some deleted texts from her electronic devices.
"We have retrieved some deleted evidence from her Blackberry, Twitter and so on. We will see if there was any intentional deletion of texts or just a routine exercise. We had sent certain equipments to the forensic science lab and we have received them back along with the report of the forensic science experts," Bassi said.
"The new evidences are being analyzed," he added.
