World Cup 2015: BCCI warns Virat Kohli on spat with journalist - Times of India

NEW DELHI: BCCI issued a stern warning to Virat Kohli over his abusive behaviour with an Indian journalist urging the batsman to maintain the dignity of the team at all times.

Full Coverage: ICC World Cup 2015

The Indian cricket board also warned Kohli not to repeat such incident in the future.

Kohli had lost his cool after the training session on Tuesday as he hurled abuses at a journalist before the side's group league game against West Indies at the WACA on Friday.

When he was told that he has mistaken this particular reporter as someone else, Kohli called one of the journalists and through him apologized for the incident.

The Hindustan Times, whose reporter was abused by Kohli, has filed complaints with the ICC and the BCCI.

BCCI's warning came after the board's secretary Anurag Thakur had said that it was a case of misunderstanding and the issue should be put to rest immediately to let the team focus on the World Cup.
