Playback singer Ankit Tiwari, who became a household name post the success of his ‘Aashiqui 2′ song ‘Sunn Raha Hai Na Tu’, has been arrested on alleged rape charges in Mumbai on Thursday (May 8).

According to reports, Ankit’s brother Ankur Tiwari has also been arrested by the Versova police for allegedly raping a 28-year old girl.

Reports further suggest that the victim, who met Ankit through a common friend, was visitng her sister in Mumbai.

As per the allegations, both Ankit and Ankur went to the victim’s house on Wednesday (May 6) and raped her on knife point.
