Advocating for a ‘stable’ government, UPA’s key ally NCP believes that BJP is likely going to emerge as the single largest party in the 2014 Lok Sabha results.
Accepting the political overhaul, Union Minister Praful Patel said that the public mandate has to be respected. He added that be it the exit polls or opinion polls, BJP is going to register a thriving a victory in the 2014 polls.
To him, the question was how close the BJP will come to the halfway mark or if it would any ally. Patel asserted that that incoming government should be stable so that it decisively runs the nation.
When asked if NCP would extend its support to the NDA, Patel cleared that no conjecture should be drawn at the moment and that NCP is not taking any sides. He assured that NCP is still a part of UPA and would continue being so.
Patel also said that his party has always acted responsible in the last 15 years of its existence.
