The judge hearing the case told Kejriwal that he doesn't have to pay the bond of Rs. 10,000 right away but it will act as a surety in case he absconds.
"I would be failing in my duty if I don't go by procedure. Other magistrates may have accepted your undertaking, however, I am not bound by them but higher courts. I have gone by the book and you are welcome to challenge the order," the judge said.

The judge also pulled up the AAP leader and asked him to act more responsibly.
Kerjiwal accused Gadkari of being corrupt once again during the hearing in the court.
Gadkari had complained saying that Kejriwal released a list of "India's most corrupt" people on 31 January and it included his name.
Senior lawyer Shanti Bhushan represented Kejriwal in the court.
The Patiala House court on Wednesday had sent Kejriwal to two-day judicial custody after he refused to furnish a bail of Rs. 10,000, hours after declaring that the party was ready for fresh elections in the Capital.
